Death Silence...

Nature is unpredictable...

A year ago we returned from Australia as Expats to Switzerland. We're now living in a rented house of a friend. A nice easycare house with a garden and a pond. Two days ago out garden was invaded by ducks. We sat outside, having our apéro (aperitif) and yeah it was still chilly. Suddenly this lovesick duck couple made a dash for our pond. Fluffy little ducklings, we thought. And oh yeah the couple were after a breeding place. Just perfect, we thought. At this very moment we didn't thought of all the droppings and Salmonella.... Wild birds how fascinating. Staring at them happy and delighted, thoughts of helping them to protect their hatch.

Strangely enough they dived there heads all the time... What a feast they killed our two wild born baby salamander... Death Silence....

Off they went with a full tummy looking for a more suitable pond to breed or feed...

By the way: do you like those crispy Peking Duck with all the nice little trimmings???.... I doo!
